Il sito americano The Onion, noto per le sue “pazze” notizie, difficilmente troverà un fornitore di spunti come George W. Bush. Oggi è stato pubblicato quello che dovrebbe essere il loro ultimo pezzo dedicato all’ex presidente: “Bush è morto nel sonno“.

E’ un comunicato stampa ufficiale della Casa Bianca a rendere noto lo stato d’animo del presidente ancora in carica, e della famiglia. A suscitare tanto dolore, spiega la nota, è la morte della gatta di famiglia, India – soprannominata anche “Willie”.
Così Bush ha sbianchettato la Storia.
Date aggiustate, nomi cancellati, cifre “sbianchettate”. E’ una vera e propria operazione di correzione della storia, quella che ha interessato il sito ufficiale della Casa Bianca. E’ su queste pagine web che l’amministrazione Bush ha fatto modificare, a suo piacimento, alcuni comunicati stampa già andati in rete. Sono tutti relativi alla guerra in Iraq ed elencano i Paesi che hanno appoggiato l’America, inclusa l’Italia.
